Furnished Apartments Denver is happy to provide you with various options you might want to consider for sightseeing and recreation in the Denver area. With everything from parks to galleries to sports to theaters, the Mile High City has something for everyone.

Outdoor Activities:
Denver boasts a lot of parks, such as Washington Park and City Park, around the metro area. For the more adventurous, check out one of Denver's "mountain parks" that line Bear Creek Canyon. If you'd like something a bit more tranquil, you can find plenty of short term rentals in Denver that are not far from the 23-acre Denver Botanic Gardens.

When you get tired of parks, head to three-story Denver Union Station to see railroad history in action and ogle at the architecture. And for a bit of Venice in Denver, visit the Daniels and Fisher Tower, which was modeled after St. Mark's Campanile. Denver also offers an unusual sight: an amusement park, Elitch Gardens, in the middle of downtown.

Sport for Spectators:
Sports fans of all kinds will enjoy Denver. If you want to see a game or two of Denver's Major League Baseball team, the Colorado Rockies, head to Lower Downtown and be sure to get there early (tickets sell out quickly). Football lovers can get their fill by watching the NFL's Denver Broncos play at Invesco Field. Be sure to book well in advance to ensure you get a seat in the stadium.

Denver also has an NBA team, the Denver Nuggets, that play in the shiny Pepsi Center downtown. Most of the Nuggets' home games happen between November and April. If you visit Denver during the Nugget's home season, you can also attend an NHL Colorado Avalanche hockey game at the same venue.

If you're into cars more than team sports, you will find plenty of racing and car-related events from April through October at the Bandimere Speedway. For those who prefer horses to cars, Denver hosts the National Western Stock Show, Rodeo, and Horse Show for two weeks at the end of January in the Denver Coliseum.

Denver has blossomed as a city of art and culture in recent years. To learn more about the city's history, visit the Denver Public Library to see photographs and maps from Denver's frontier days. For a more traditional museum experience, check out the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Rocky Mountain region's top location for science education. If you prefer art to science, visit the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art to view over 3,000 pieces from 1880 to 1980. The Denver Art Museum has great collections of Western American and Native American arts. You can easily access most of the museums if you stay in one of our downtown Denver furnished apartments.

Along with many independent galleries, there are many more unique museums in the Denver area:

Molly Brown House Museum
Forney Transportation Museum
Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum
Children's Museum of Denver
Denver Firefighters Museum
Black American West Museum
History Colorado Center

In terms of performing arts, Denver is hard to beat. Start by catching a show at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, home of the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company. Or get tickets for a performance at the historical Paramount Theatre or Ogden Theatre. If you prefer music to theatre, attend a Colorado Symphony Orchestra or Opera Colorado concert. All these venues are a close commute from most of our furnished apartments in Denver.
